PEEKSKILL
MONDAY, March 1
1:06 p.m. –
Ceasar Alvarez, 23, of Peekskill, was arrested and charged with falsely reporting an incident, a misdemeanor. An investigation by Officer Detective Todd Gallaher and Police Officer Chris Vazeos found that Alvarez falsely reported a burglary at his Harrison Avenue residence on Feb. 24.

SUNDAY, Feb. 28
4:55 a.m. –
Fani Guenza, 42, and Pedro Rodriguez, 23, of Ossining, were arrested and charged with obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest by Police Officers John White and Dan Labodin. Police said Guenza and Rodriguez resisted arrest and attempted to hamper an investigation of an incident on Ridge Street. Both were released on $1,000 bail and are scheduled to be in court on March 4.

SATURDAY, Feb. 27
7:40 p.m. –
Alexander Cooper, 51, and Armondo Rosello, 49, of Peekskill, were both arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and loitering, both misdemeanors, after being arrested by Officer Carl Demarco and Sam Keenan on Brown Street. Police said the men were in possession of crack cocaine.

WEDNESDAY, Feb. 24
11 p.m. –
James Lee, 47, of Montrose, was arrested and charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony, by Police Officer Mattt Basso following a traffic stop on the 800 block of Washington Street. He was held for arraignment, police said.

TUESDAY, Feb. 23
10:10 p.m.
– Christopher Ahlstedt, 33, of Shrub Oak, was arrested and charged with petit larceny and possession of a controlled substance not in its original container, both misdemeanors. Ahlstedt was arrested after attempting to leave the Stop & Shop grocery store on Route 6 without paying for $311 worth of groceries, police said. He also had prescription medication which was not in its original bottle, police said. He was scheduled to appear in town court on March 1 to answer the charge.

THURSDAY, Feb. 18
9:11 p.m. –
Units were dispatched to Lincoln Hall on a report of two youths missing at bed check. Both youths were found on campus and turned over to state police.

SATURDAY, Feb. 20
10:32 a.m. –
A Krystal Drive resident reported that an unknown person was driving an ATV on the Willows development property in a reckless manner in violation of homeowner association rules and town code. One adult was interviewed and was advised of the town code regarding ATVs.

MONDAY, Feb. 22
4:15 p.m. –
A Louis drive resident reported that between midnight and 2 p.m. his lawn was damaged by a vehicle driving on his front yard, causing approximately $200 in damage.

YORKTOWN
SUNDAY, FEB. 21
3 p.m. –
Police report the arrest of a 16-year-old Somers resident who is charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. The 16-year-old male, whose name is being withheld due to possible youthful offender status, allegedly left the Jefferson Valley Mall Sears without paying for a pair of sunglasses, valued at $24. The youth was released to his mother and is scheduled to appear in court on March 23.

SUNDAY, FEB. 21
10:22 p.m. –
Shannon L. Bushell, 38, of Garrison, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and driving with a blood alcohol content over .08 percent, both misdemeanors, after she was pulled over on Crompond Road for failing to stay in her lane and making an unsafe U-turn, according to police. Bushell was released on her own recognizance to a family member after her arrest and is due to appear in court on March 25.

SUNDAY, FEB. 28
11:18 p.m. –
Santiago Mazo, 19, of Yorktown, was arrested and charged with third-degree menacing, a class B misdemeanor, following a domestic dispute on Loretta Street. Mazo physically placed a family member in fear of physical injury during an argument, according to police. He was served with a temporary order of protection and released on his own recognizance. Mazo is due to appear in court on March 4.
