The 7th annual Children’s Expo and Public Safety Day is held in conjunction with The Putnam County Child Advocacy Center and The Putnam County Bureau of Emergency Services. (Fishkill, NY) – U.S. Congresswoman Nan Hayworth, M.D. (NY-19) announced today that she will host the 7th Annual Putnam County Children’s Expo and Public Safety Day that will be open to the public on Saturday, May 12, 2012 in Carmel, New York. Along with a host of other events, parents, grandparents or guardians will be able to obtain a NYS Safe Child Card, with finger prints and photo. The ID is an invaluable tool to help law enforcement officials locate missing children. “As a mother and a doctor, I know how important it is to take care of our children, to keep them safe, and to help them to be strong and capable,” said Congresswoman Hayworth. “I hope you’ll join me to learn more about child safety and accident prevention from the experts from our Police and Fire Departments in Putnam County.”
