Letters from Citizens of PennySaver Community

I am 100% in favor of the new Voter Fraud legislation being worked on by my Assemblyman Dr. Steven Katz. With so many reports of voter fraud in the news the timing couldn't be better. Dr. Katz is working with State Senator Lee Zeldin who is introducing a companion bill in the NY State Senate. That shows me he's serious about getting this passed. The new legislation, Assembly Bill 9041, requires that all voters bring with them and present government-issued photo identification at the polls. Currently, 31 states require all voters to show ID before voting. It is of the utmost importance to safeguard one of our most valued privileges, that is the right to vote.

To Whom It May Concern,

Greetings. My name is Lisa Andrade and I am a kennel worker at the Putnam Humane Society in Carmel, NY, and the author of several books. Like many of you, I have a dream... a BIG dream. A dream to help others in need. My sole purpose in life is dedicating myself to providing tender loving care to the animals at PHS and seeking assistance for the old, run-down, dilapidated shelter.

Mahopac, N.Y. – (11/12/11) – Senator Greg Ball (R, C – Patterson), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Veterans, Homeland Security and Military Affairs, along with volunteers hosted a free thanksgiving dinner for close to 600 veterans and their families at the Mahopac Fire House.

In total over 200 volunteers worked together to organize the dinner from the planning stages to the day of the event. In addition to the volunteers there were nineteen local business that donated food, beverages and decorations, including a total of 110 turkeys. Students from Primrose Elementary School decorated placemats for each veteran to take home. Local girl scouts, boy scouts and the Mahopac football team were also in attendance helping serve food and wait tables.

Letter to the editor:

What a great community we live in! On Saturday November 12th we hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner for over 600 Veterans at the Mahopac Fire House. Let me be perfectly blunt: we could not have done it without the outpouring of community support from local businesses, organizations and hundreds of volunteers.
